Authors & reviewers
DenialHelp content is authored and reviewed by named contributors with verifiable credentials. Each appeal-strategy guide carries a byline and a last-reviewed date. Clinical reviewers are added to specific guides where their specialty applies.
Bylined authors

Bylined on appeal-strategy guides covering denial-reason mechanics, plan-policy interpretation, and federal regulatory framework. Privacy Officer for HIPAA compliance.
Clinical reviewers
Clinical reviewers (MD, NP, PA) are being onboarded to review appeal-strategy guides where specialty-specific clinical claims are referenced. Reviewers will be listed here with full credentials, license jurisdiction, and date-of-review on each guide they sign off on.
Status: recruitment in progress. Inquire at mic@denialhelp.com for the reviewer role.
Editorial standards
Source primacy. Regulatory citations come from primary sources: U.S. Code, CFR, federal court decisions, CMS guidance, FDA approvals/labels. Plan policies cite the specific Coverage Policy Bulletin (CPB) or Medical Coverage Policy (MCP) by number and revision date.
Clinical evidence. Drug mechanisms, diagnostic criteria, and treatment severity references come from peer-reviewed literature (NEJM, JAMA, Lancet, indication-specific journals) and specialty society practice guidelines (APA, AACAP, ASRM, ACR, ACG, ASAM, NCCN, AAD).
Last reviewed. Every guide displays a last-reviewed date. Guides are reviewed when the underlying policy or regulation changes (e.g., FDA label expansion, CPB revision, CFR amendment) and at least once every 12 months.
Not medical advice. The guides describe procedural appeal strategy; they do not substitute for individual medical advice. Patients with active denial appeals should work with their prescribing physician.
