Mic founded DenialHelp, LLC in 2026 to address a specific problem: insurance denials can turn necessary care into a difficult clinical and administrative process. A useful appeal package must identify the actual reason, preserve what is unknown, connect important facts to their source, and apply only the policy or review rules that govern that case.
DenialHelp encodes that skill into software. The patient uploads the denial. The system extracts the structured facts, identifies the candidate review framework, and prepares an appeal draft the patient and treating clinician can verify before signing or filing.
As Privacy Officer, Mic is responsible for HIPAA compliance posture, BAA execution with vendors that touch PHI, the Incident Response Plan, and the company's technical safeguards, vendor boundaries, access controls, audit evidence, incident response, and recovery readiness.
